Frisco runs one of the tightest bulk programs in Collin County — five items a month, nothing over fifty pounds, and no electronics at all. We take what it won't, from wherever it sits in the house.

Why Frisco calls a private hauler

The city's bulk service is genuinely restrictive. Once a month, on your regular collection day, capped at five items — none longer than six feet or heavier than fifty pounds. You have to reserve a place on the list bynoon the business day before, and crews cannot come onto private property.

That fifty-pound ceiling is the part that catches people. A three-seat sofa runs 100–150 lb; a washer 150–200; a treadmill more still. Furniture is listed as accepted, yet most of it is disqualified on weight alone. And a Saturday garage clearout has no city outlet at all until the next monthly cycle comes round.

What Frisco homes actually generate

Frisco is a post-1990 city — over eighty percent of its housing was built after 2000, and the homes are larger than McKinney's on average. In practice that means full-truck volume rather than single items: whole-garage clearances, bonus rooms, playroom furniture, remodel debris from kitchens and bathrooms.

There is almost no pre-1970 stock here, so we see far less of the deep-attic accumulation that defines historic McKinney. What we do see is turnover — Frisco carries more months of housing supply than McKinney, and every sale means a clearout at one end or the other.

Remodeling? A third-party dumpster may not be an option in Frisco.

The city's construction waste page states that "the use of another contractor and/or their equipment for this purpose is not permitted within city limits," and its own container service requires a $1,000 deposit. Confirm current requirements with the City — but for most Frisco remodels, load-by-load removal is simpler than a roll-off.

Downsizing at Frisco Lakes

The Del Webb 55+ community runs to roughly three thousand single-story homes — the largest concentration of downsizing and estate work in the city.

These jobs are rarely one item. They are decades of a household reduced to what fits a smaller floor plan, often on a deadline set by a closing date. We work room by room, set aside anything the family wants to keep or donate, and route usable furniture to local charities before anything goes to disposal.
